Better Homes and Gardens Quilt Sampler Top Ten Shop Fall/Winter 2007!!!
Yes, it was a secret! But as of May 4th, 2007 we're telling everyone about this wonderful and exciting HONOR!!
The quilt you see pictured here is the design chosen from eight designs along with fabric swatches, I submitted in January 2007. The design process had to completed by January 26th. Editor, Heidi Kaisand then called me on January 29th, which happened to be my birthday, to let me know which design they had chosen to appear in the magazine. The next step was a photo shoot here in the shop February 7th & 8th! It was ever so exciting! Having an assignment to then make my design in the chosen fabric was a bit of a waiting game as I had to wait for the fabric to arrive. My deadline for the finished quilt was April 2nd. I mailed my quilt about ten days before the deadline! During all this time, we were sworn to keep it all a secret except from family & staff!
Do you all know how hard it is to keep something so wonderful a secret?
Very, very difficult!
